This delicious concoction of dehydrated lemon and lime juice, with just a touch of sugar, is a carryover fave from last year’s Taste-Off. Yes, it’s that good! Just add some ice-cold (filtered) stream water and a splash of BYO tequila, then kick back and enjoy the sunset. If you can, find a patch of clean snow and drop a handful into your mug for a delicious, frosty marg. Not a tequila drinker? It’s just as tasty mixed with whiskey (whiskey sour) or vodka (vodka gimlet). Not packing alcohol? Enjoy it as a refreshing limeade. Perfect for relaxing zero days or celebrating big milestones.

Powdered margarita mix isn’t something I’d spring for in any other context, but I make an exception on the trail. This mixes into a refreshingly sweet-tart sip that’s just begging for a splash of tequila. If you aren’t the drinking type, it tastes great as is.

Nothing beats an amazing day spent in the wild - but a cold margarita sure ends it in style. Packit Gourmet's Moonshine Margarita is our pick: Add tequila (chilled in a snowbank or creek), salt the rim of your GSI Outdoors Lexan Margarita Glass and say salud!

I’ve been taking the Moonshine Margarita mix on the AT for the past several hikes. We have it on the first night on the trail, it’s a group favorite.

Introduced as a surprise this February at our annual Grand Canyon Bright Angel 4 night trip--two thumbs up from every camper . . . every afternoon!
-
A little tart and sweet, but nicely complimented the Big'un Burrito evening theme! Reduced the water by the tequila used. May bring more tequila next time, lol.

We get one of these for every first night on the trail. It’s a perfect way to celebrate day 1

Of course, everything tastes better when you're out camping, but seriously, this mix makes the best maragaritas ever! I give the packets to friends as gifts! Great with that yummy cheese dip!

So much better than I expected. I used 3 oz of tequila and 20 oz of water. Perfect for 4 people to share a celebratory hiking drink.

We love margaritas. This mix was fun to have on our backpacking trip! A bit sweet for my taste but it did the trick ;)

Very nice! I used vodka and it was fantastic! I didn't reduce the total amount of water by the amount of alcohol and so didn't have enough room to close the bag to shake and mix. Was still delicious with stirring, but will do better next time. Was a perfect treat after a hard day.

Very refreshing mixed with tequila after a day of doing volunteer trail maintenance work with the Colorado Trail Foundation. The flavor was about as good as what you'd find in a respectable bar or Mexican restaurant.
