Although we have had no issues with the zip closure opening on its own, the heat seal ensures there are no accidental leaks. We recommend experimenting with the setting on your heat sealer to identify what heat level works best.
Can these bags be used to cook in or submerge in boiling water?
 

The Mylar Storage Bags are not certified to hold boiling water (like our Cook-in-Bags) or be submerged in boiling water (like our Boilable Bag).

Do these bags provide a level of odor proof protection?
