frequently asked questions
We do not recommend storing your remaining FD Roast Beef in a Ziploc bag. Ziploc bags are clear and very thin, allowing oxygen, light and humidity to negatively effect your roast beef. We recommend using a Mylar Bag (this is what our FD Roast Beef will come packaged in & we sell them on the site individually) which acts as a very efficient barrier to all of these.
Due to the high humidity levels that can be found in freezers, we do not recommend storing your FD Roast Beef in the freezer. A dark, cool and dry pantry works great!
The 'best by' date on your package applies to an unopened package of FD Roast Beef, but if the previously opened bag is stored properly, you can still achieve the quoted shelf-life. It's important to push all air out of the bag and securely seal the bag — oxygen will negatively effect the freshness of the chicken. Double-bagging or placing the bag in an air tight container is even better. Secondly, store your bag in a dark, dry place at 70 degrees or below.
