I honestly think this is one of the best trail meals I’ve ever had. The flavor is on 100% on point and the chicken still has a nice texture to it after rehydrating. I packed some Cool Ranch Doritos in to have with this, and I crushed some up and added them to a wrap. It took this meal from a 10 to a 20 with the added texture!

Fantastic. Used cool water to cold soak without problem. Yummy flavor profile, and appreciate the added hot sauce to your own taste. Ate it on chips!

I think of all the Packit meals this is my favorite. This is the one where I will go downstairs and grab one for a snack or dinner(and thus have to order another for my actual trip). Just the right amount of heat and tasty. I eat it right out of the pouch sometimes.

Update- I tried the KCHW last week on a trip. I previously had issues with crunchiness. I didn’t have it this time at all. Very good. Just the right flavor. Amazing in the tortillas I brought. I will say I did use hot water just cause I didn’t want cold food but that was personal preference. ---- I had the same issue as a couple others. Crunchy. Food had good taste but the issue was the little “rocks” I was hitting. I tried doubling the time but didn’t help. I am going to try again this next week at lower elevation. And see if I can do better.

I also had a problem with something crunchy with almost every bite. I tried to add more water and wait longer but still something crunchy with just about every bite.

Something not rehydrating well in this, just like in the Cajun Chicken one. Nearly every bite I find something strangely hard and crunchy...and not in a good way. I'm only at 2700ft elevation and waited even longer than the instructions specified.

You guys knocked it out of the park with this one! Can anything beat the kickin' chicken? I think not.

Wow, it's hard to believe that such a good meal can be so simple to fix. 1/2 cup cool water, no heating and no cozy required. Delicious and spicy. You've done it again Packit Gourmet!
