- A skillet-toasted Pizza Margherita really takes this meal to the next level! To make: Fill a tortilla with your Pizza Margherita and toast prepared pizza rolls or half-moon quesadillas until golden brown. Toast on a bare pan or fry with a packet of olive oil for a crunchy exterior. Mama Mia what a difference!
- This meal contains freeze-dried cheese which (1) is really delicious and (2) stays in its shredded form once rehydrated and heated, rather than melting the way that fresh cheeses do.
- Cool water works just fine for this meal! Allow to steep-cook for 20 minutes — when the cheese is tender, it's ready!

This pizza-inspired meal - not exactly a slice, not exactly a wrap, and not exactly a quesadilla - was a hit with testers who described it as a "lip-smacking way to finish a long day." The pizza-wrap's main attraction is a gooey mozzarella spread spiked with hints of basil, slices of black olives and chunks of tomato that preps with cold water and folds into a (BYO) tortilla. "The flavors are distinct and, while it's tasty cold, I loved this meal hot, melted-quesadilla style," says one tester who reports that a single serving with 24 grams of fat and 58 grams of protein, is enough for a late-night snack for two hungry hikers. Tip: Freeze-dried cheese won't melt unless completely rehydrated. Add a splash of water if there's an iota of crunch.

We recommend that all of our hot meals spend time "steep-cooking™" while snuggled in a Cook-in-Cozy™. We find this method promotes a more consistent temperature and steady cook time for Cook-in-Bag™ preparation; and results in a better serving temperature for your meal. When not in use, our Cook-in-Cozy™ folds away nicely in your pack for storage and weighs in at only 1.4oz.

Not bad! Nice flavors, but the cheese sort of formed a ball that was a bit strange texture-wise later in the meal. I think it's partially user error on that.

Fab dinner on an australian summer camping night. the flavour got an extra hit with the olive oil pouch beautiful!!

Tasted pretty good. I had to add a little bit more water when I stirred it halfway through and I think it still could have used a little more.

Another great meal. Delicious! Is it really a pizza, no. But it's the closest thing you are going to get on the trail. Five stars!
-
Made cold and was a perfect trail lunch. Ready in under 10 minutes and really hit the spot. I didn't have the crunchy cheese problem. Loved it.

The flavor of these was fine; however, I used the cold water method, even gave it more time and water but most of my cheese was crunchy. Not sure I would try these again, but if I did I would use hot water and/or heat it in the wrap.

This was amazing! I used the cool water prep and wrapped in a Tortilla. Very flavorful, as with all Packit Gourmet meals I have tried. Testing out many cold water meals from P.G. for a upcoming 2 week backpacking trip everything that I try I reorder for the trip.

4 Stars My son gave it 5stars, my friend gave it 4stars and I gave it 3stars. The herbs and spices combined with the olive oil were very good and balanced. We used the cold prep method and I'm sure that if we'd heated them, I'd have gone to 4+stars. Needed about 1 more oz of water than the instructions called for since the cheese was still a little crispy after 10minutes. After adding the extra water, massaging it in and letting it stand for another 15 minutes, it was fine.

This is simply amazing. The prep is so simple and fast. Bring your own tortilla or burrito shells and you will have one of the tastiest meals on the trail.
