My favorite by a mile. I honestly don’t know what they do down there in Texas but their food wins all the awards in my book. These are the kind of meals I could actually eat at home. My personal favorites are the All-American Burger Wrap, the Cajun Ranch Chicken Salad, the Texas Mesquite Chicken Salad and the Big’un Burrito. The two drawbacks to Pack-it: Several aren’t that light (the Shepherd’s Cottage Pie weights 10.4oz!) and secondly they aren’t cheap (as a believer in getting what you pay for, I’m alright spending the extra dime). Keep in mind that they make these meals as the orders roll in so be sure to order in advance.

Thumbs up great cold soak meal

Wow! Loved the chicken and cranberry flavor profile. If you are not a fan of mayonnaise, I let mine sit a little longer (so it wasn’t too dry) and it worked great. I appreciated that this can be prepared only using cold water. I scooped it with Fritos, which gave a good crunch for lunch. I’m glad I bought two!

To say I was impressed was an understatement. I am not a cold poultry fan but this was a terrific meal to take with to Isle Royale. I would have put the water in before we went on a hike but it was still a convenient lunch to enjoy on the island.

A staple.

Delicious! Different than a lot of lunches. Miles better than a tuna or chicken packet. The cajun was not too spicy - quite mild actually. Good portion size. Rehydrated perfectly!

Complex flavor. Something I would even eat off trail !!! Spectacular! Even used cool water instead of hot . A+++

Outstanding trail lunch. I made wraps with two tortillas and a small 2.5oz bag of Oscar Mayer bacon bits, bringing it up to about 1000 kcals.

Sooo good! Two things are worth highlighting. The product can be easily divided into two, in the sense that you eat half a day and the other later. And no need to heat water, which can come in handy depending on the circumstances.

I didn't fight off bears or goats on the High Divide in Olympic National Park. I had to beat back my companions who scraped the steeping packet and were just as wowed as me over the Cajun Ranch Chicken Salad.
