Prep for this creamy, savory, Southern-style comfort food is as easy as it gets: Boil water, add to bag, stir and let sit for 10 minutes. Testers loved the well defined jalapeno and corn flavors, fluffy texture and mild tang provided by a blend of cheddar jack cheeses. Eat these grits as a breakfast cereal or, as one tester suggested, "as filling for a jerky-stuffed burrito."

We recommend that all of our hot meals spend time "steep-cooking™" while snuggled in a Cook-in-Cozy™. We find this method promotes a more consistent temperature and steady cook time for Cook-in-Bag™ preparation; and results in a better serving temperature for your meal. When not in use, our Cook-in-Cozy™ folds away nicely in your pack for storage and weighs in at only 1.4oz.

This is a nice meal for breakfast, or we made it with sautéed zucchini and shrimp on top for a shrimp and grits dinner-delicious.
-
One of my favorite breakfast items every. It’s rich and filling. I don’t go camping or hiking without it,

A nice break from the usual oatmeal. Perfect portion size and great way to start the day. Creamy (add a little more H20), flavorful, and gluten friendly. A new breakfast staple!
-
This is my go to breakfast now. Simply delicious.
-
This is my "go to" breakfast on any backpack trip. It is easy to prepare, filling, delicious and packed with flavor.
-
This is damn good. I normally skip breakfast when backpacking, but I always manage to make room for this on at least one day.
-
Even as someone who doesn't normally eat breakfast, enjoy these. Taken on many backcountry trips.

This meal was my introduction to PackIt, and it was while we were camped next to them at an expo event. We had shrimp and grits on our menu already, so I decided to try their much more elevated grits for our dinner. I was astonished by the quality and taste of their version, and have loved every meal of theirs since then.
