Prep for this creamy, savory, Southern-style comfort food is as easy as it gets: Boil water, add to bag, stir and let sit for 10 minutes. Testers loved the well defined jalapeno and corn flavors, fluffy texture and mild tang provided by a blend of cheddar jack cheeses. Eat these grits as a breakfast cereal or, as one tester suggested, "as filling for a jerky-stuffed burrito."

We recommend that all of our hot meals spend time "steep-cooking™" while snuggled in a Cook-in-Cozy™. We find this method promotes a more consistent temperature and steady cook time for Cook-in-Bag™ preparation; and results in a better serving temperature for your meal. When not in use, our Cook-in-Cozy™ folds away nicely in your pack for storage and weighs in at only 1.4oz.

Love this one. Perfect for a quick hot breakfast and ready in 5 mins. Bit more creamy than the true southern style grits I grew up on but I love the kick of spic and the perfect amount of cheese. I actually keep these on hand at home for a quick breakfast - they aren't just for the trail.
