Break from the uninspired trail meal and reach for this modern twist on chicken salad. "I loved the big, juicy hunks of meat with peas and currants, seasoned with mango and fragrant curry powder," says one tester, who rehydrated this cold-water-prep wrap on-trail in Washington's Wenatchee Mountains. "I stopped for one minute to add water to the bag so it would rehydrate while I hiked. Twenty minutes later, I sat down for a gourmet lunch." Mix in the included packet of ranch dressing to add creaminess - and an extra 11 grams of fat per serving. Great for chilly weather. BYO bread or tortilla.

repeat what others have said in this does not require you to boil water. Shared this with two other hikers for a quick snack. Needs one more pack of mayo. Over all loved it and would buy again

Delicious and filling! Super easy to prepare, loved that it didn't require hot water. We had ours with crackers and tortillas; I'd recommend a carbohydrate to go with this to make it a fuller meal. Will be buying for next backpacking trip!

This is a very good, very easy lunch. We added the water and went for a bike ride on the Maple Highlands Trail in Ohio, then stopped along the way for a bite to eat. The ingredients re-hydrated perfectly, and we wrapped it up in some tortilla shells we brought along. Will buy this one again.

Great flavor and texture, easy to prepare and plenty to share. Everybody that i backpack with wants a bite and then proclaims it FANTASTIC. This is by and far my favorite lunch on the trail!

Wonderful! Tastes like something you would get at some fancy bistro. Terrific meal!

Outstanding! Packit Gourmet continues to impress me. I won't hit the trail out meals from them.

This is one of my fav trail lunches. I prep it in the morning by putting the chicken & cool water in a small container with a screw top. Let it cold soak while in my pack while I hike. By lunchtime, the water is absorbed. Just add in the mayo packet & enjoy! Easy peasy!

After suffering through many of the more commercially available freeze dried meals, I am so happy to have found Pack It Gourmet! Although I agree with the other reviewers about there not being a noticeable mango flavor, it was delicious none the less. I highly recommend!

I didn't really notice the mango, but this was delicious. There was just enough spice and it went great with the crackers we brought with us to munch on.
