This hearty, pepper-flecked soup won tester praise for bringing gourmet-style chowder to the trail: "The creamy richness, tongue-tingling poblano and slight sweetness of the firm corm kernels made this my favorite cool-evening appetizer," says one. With just 300 calories and 11 grams of fat, it's also a great meal for hikers looking to eat healthy without sacrificing flavor, or as an hors d'oeuvre compliment to Southwestern - or meat and potatoes - style entrees.

Really good flavor in this soup...the corn tasted fresh! There was enough for two of us with a few oyster crackers added for good measure!

This one rocks! Love the flavor and heat. To round it out I usually add some Tabasco. I even enjoy this for breakfast :-D

If you're looking for corn, you have choices: Santa Fe Corn Pudding or this one. I've had both and highly recommend this one! I'm not fond of grits as an ingredient in something, and the soup has none. If you make it per the bag, it's thick and yummy. If you add breakfast sausage, some butter, and some sliced cheddar to it, it is sublime. Try adding milk or coconut milk powder to thin it out, too.
